RONDON TO GO ON AND ON
SALOMON RONDON wants a permanent switch to Newcastle.
The striker, on loan on Tyneside, is in line for his first start of the season at Cardiff today and has told boss Rafa Benitez he wants to stay long term. The Venezuelan aims to get into double figures this season to banish the disappointment of relegation with West Brom last term.
Rondon (right) said: “This is the biggest move of my career, that is why I want to stay here permanently. I remember the first call from Rafa. He told me they were interested in me and asked if I would like to come. I said of course. “It is a pleasure to work with Rafa, to see his tactics, his ideas. “The situation when West Brom went down was difficult and I am just really grateful to be back in the Premier League again. Staying permanently is my target. And the only way to do that of course is to score goals and train really, really hard to hold on to my place.”
