CRISIS Simone and Ansar THE weather is keeping everyone guessing this bank holiday – with downpours or a heatwave both possible.
Met office forecasters say there is “huge uncertainty” caused by the jet stream.
Meteorologist Aidan McGivern said: “If we end up on the south of this ridge we will have similar weather to what we had earlier in the summer – the heatwave.
“But if we end up north of the jet stream we will have very unsettled weather.”
The picture was mixed yesterday too with Lyme Regis bathed in sunshine and Southport hit by rain and wind.
