CARL: IT’S SCOTT TO BE BETTER
CARL FRAMPTON believes his clash with Josh Warrington will deliver the thrills his win over Scott Quigg failed to.
The Belfast hero stopped Aussie Luke Jackson in the ninth round at Windsor Park.
It was Frampton’s first stoppage win since 2015, as he defended the interim WBO featherweight title with ease.
Now The Jackal will challenge IBF champion Warrington later this year with Manchester Arena favourite to host the clash.
The same venue staged Frampton’s 2016 win over Quigg, which gave the Belfast fighter a suprisingly comfortable victory.
Frampton said: “Scott’s tactics were strange and I won the fight not having to do a lot.
“I don’t think Josh is going to give me six rounds by not doing anything. It will be a better fight – it couldn’t be any worse.”
