CLASS IS A GRAY AREA

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

ANDRE GRAY was hailed by Javier Gracia for showing his class as he helped Watford earn their first away win in nine months. Gray did not celebrate out of respect for his former club Burnley after volleying home the opening goal and Gracia (above) said that spoke volumes about him. “That spoke about him as a player and about him as a person,” said the Hornets boss after seeing Gray score the first away goal of his sevenmonth reign to maintain Watford’s perfect start. “I think he’s a great player and a great person. Last season he didn’t play so much but he always helps the team. “This season he is playing more and scoring more goals and he deserves it.” Gracia was relieved to get his first win on the road, saying: “For me it is always important to get a win and today was my first away win so I am really pleased. “It’s always important for your strikers to score goals and Troy (Deeney) and Andre did that for us. “I know this is not an easy place to come to and get the points so I am very happy. “We have made a good start, but I am only thinking about the next game against Crystal Palace.”
