Dumb thieves’ fast-track to court

DIM thieves were caught red handed after leaving the tracker device from a stolen Range Rover in their own vehicle.

Police nabbed them after expecting to find a £75,000 Evoque rather than the thieves’ BMW. At Warwick crown court Laith Khan, 33, of Sparkhill, Birmingham, and Atiq Rahman, 31, of Sparkbrook admitted taking the Range Rover.

They got 19 months’ jail suspended for two years. The judge said: “You won’t get a chance like this again.”
