Apprentices vow ‘broken’
THERESA May is unlikely to fulfil her pledge to create three million apprentices by 2020.
No 10 yesterday refused to commit to the target.
Figures showed 315,900 apprentices began courses between August 2017 and May, down from 457,200.
Labour said: “By refusing to back their own target, the Government has finally admitted their handling of apprenticeships is failing.”
