Gunderworld... there’s another shooter in Corrie

A GUNMAN has Peter Barlow in his sights outside Underworld in the latest explosive drama on Coronation Street.

Peter, played by Chris Gascoyne, finds himself at the centre of a drive-by shooting as he arrives at the knicker factory with his forbidden love Carla Connor (Alison King).

Corrie bosses will not reveal if blood will be spilled on the cobbles – but they say fans will be blown away by the episode on Friday, August 31. A source said: “It’s a big storyline for Corrie and will leave fans shocked. Peter and Carla are beloved characters but who knows what’ll happen?”

It follows claims that the ITV soap has become darker lately, with Bethany Platt’s grooming, David Platt’s male rape and Aidan Connor’s suicide in the past year alone.
