PARALYMPIAN Lauren Steadman has been revealed as the latest star to join the Strictly Come Dancing line-up.

The Rio 2016 silver medallist and double world champion, 25, said being on the BBC1 show was on her “bucket list”. Lauren, who was born without her lower right arm, said: “I still don’t think it has properly sunk in that I’m going to be part of it. I have loved the show since I was young.

“I’m nervous about being on stage but I’m excited to swap my triathlon kit for dancing shoes and sequins.”

Ex-Blue singer and EastEnders star Lee Ryan, 35, was also unveiled as a contestant yesterday. He denied that being a former stage school pupil and boyband member would give him a boost. He laughed: “I used to run out of dance lessons. That’s why I sing and not dance. “Have you ever seen Blue? We lean… that’s all we do.”
