ANGEL CAN LIFT HOOPS

STEVE McCLAREN is ready to send an SOS to Angel Rangel to help shore up QPR’s leaky defence tonight.

The Hoops have zero points from three games and lost 7-1 to West Brom on Saturday. And new defender Rangel (above), who spent 11 years with Swansea, could be thrown straight in at home to Bristol City.

Rangel, 35, has joined on a five-month deal and said: “I realise I’m not 20 any more. But when you have been in the British game for so long, you gain experience.

“And I think that’s what I can contribute here.”
