SWAN THAT GOT AWAY

- BY BILL COOPER

MARCELO BIELSA has revealed how Swansea missed the chance to make him their boss.

The Argentinian will see his Leeds side go top of the Championship if they beat the Swans.

But if events had gone differently, he could have been in charge at the Liberty Stadium. Bielsa was contacted by Swansea after Garry Monk was sacked in December 2015, but Francesco Guidolin was appointed instead.

Bielsa (above) said: ”I was close to becoming their boss. It was a real possibility. I was willing to work in Swansea, but at the end they chose somebody else.”
