Waiting game best for Spurs fans

I AM surprised that so many people are upset – especially given the awareness English fans have on ground safety – over getting Spurs’s stadium ready sooner rather than later.

No, let’s get it ready for when fans can go in and enjoy the experience.

This for me is a safety issue. People have brought up Spurs fans being gutted they will not be able to play the first game in the new stadium against Liverpool. Others have said “classic Spurs. They have set a date and now the stadium (below) might not be ready until next season”. But you want a stadium to be safe, secure and ready for people to walk in. You don’t want to be messing around and saying let’s crowbar people in for the Liverpool game. It will be ready when it’s ready.
