Murray eyes a Bright season

-

GLENN MURRAY has promised to repay Chris Hughton’s faith after the Brighton boss stuck with him.

Hughton resisted buying a big-name striker, instead remaining loyal to veteran Murray, who is 35 next month.

The striker, who opened his account against Manchester United, said: “I have to thank Chris for giving me the opportunity to play at this level.

“Some of the promoted teams this year have got rid of some players and brought big names in.

“Our manager did not do that. He gave everyone that helped the club to the Premier League an opportunity, and I think most of us have taken it.”
