BRAVO INJURY CRISIS FOR PEP

- BY DAVID McDONNELL

CLAUDIO BRAVO could miss all this season – plunging Manchester City into a crisis.

Keeper Bravo (right), understudy to City No.1 Ederson, snapped an Achilles tendon in training yesterday. That rules him out for at

least six months, leaving City with only rookie Daniel Grimshaw, 20, as back-up to Ederson, having sold Joe Hart and Angus Gunn this summer.

Pep Guardiola must look to bring in an emergency keeper as back-up to Chile international Bravo – although the transfer deadline has passed.

The Premier League makes provision for such circumstances and City have begun an immediate search.

Bravo confirmed the injury last night and told City fans: “No matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life goes on, and tomorrow will undoubtedly be better.”
