Ponzi cheat’s Tory gift row
TORY chiefs face calls to return thousands in donations linked to a fraudster.
Freddy David was jailed in July for six years over a £14.5million Ponzi scheme.
David, 49, of Elstree, Herts, donated £17,000 to local Tory groups, the majority through his firm.
Labour wants the funds to go to Ponzi victims.
The Conservative Party said the Electoral Commission had not challenged it.
