THE anger of Hillsborough families is understandable after charges were dropped against a senior South Yorkshire police officer accused of trying to blame Liverpool fans for the football disaster.
But nothing must be said or done to potentially jeopardise other criminal trials after an inquest ruled the 96 fans were unlawfully killed in the Sheffield Wednesday stadium in 1989.
An appeal is planned against the decision to abandon a case against Norman Bettison, who always maintained his innocence.
The bravery, decency and determination of Hillsborough families who never gave up their fight for justice is admired the world over.
This isn’t over yet.
