2,000 cards of cancer girl
A GIRL battling leukaemia whose lower leg was amputated got 2,000 cards for her eighth birthday.
A worldwide appeal was made after Jeanie-May Cooke said all she wanted was a lot of cards.
The postie had to make eight trips to his van at her Cleethorpes, Lincs, home.
Among the senders was footballer John Terry and cards came from as far away as southeast Asia.
Jeanie-May said: “I can’t believe I have so many.”
