ALASTAIR COOK has been backed by two former England captains to know when the time is right to walk away – and it’s not now.

Opener Cook, 33, is going through a rough patch this year averaging just 19.

Sir Ian Botham said “Only Alastair will know when he’s done and had enough. I think that time is still a way away.”

And Michael Vaughan said: “If anyone has earned the right to determine his own future it is Alastair Cook.”
