ROBINS GET MAC REELING

- BY ADRIAN KAJUMBA

QPR 0 Bristol City 3

SO much for QPR’S walloping at West Brom being a wake-up call, as Steve McClaren claimed.

Instead, just days after shipping seven at The Hawthorns, QPR’s defence dozed off twice more and Bristol City heaped even more pressure on the Hoops boss.

City scorers Matt Taylor and Andreas Weimann condemned him to a fourth straight league loss.

It was the last thing McClaren needed after QPR’s humiliating 7-1 battering by the Baggies.

The “Sacked in the morning” chants were already being rolled out for him by the travelling fans.

And his decision to take off midfielder Massimo Luongo – QPR player of the year last season – on the hour was greeted with cries of “You don’t know what you’re doing”.

Taylor’s 41st-minute opener was a fine strike that set City on their way to their first league win of the season and exposed Hoops’ frailties.

He chased a lost cause while QPR’s rearguard fell asleep before firing a shot under Matt Ingram.

Five minutes into the second half, Weimann (above) could not believe his luck as he was left unmarked to head in Niclas Eliasson’s cross.

And QPR’s miserable night was completed when Weimann fired in his second in the 90th minute.
