Pair caught getting friendly during dance at gig
LIAM Payne has been spotted getting Hot Right Now with Rita Ora just weeks after splitting with Cheryl Tweedy.
The pair were caught on camera looking close by an eagle-eyed fan as they enjoyed a pre-MTV VMAs gig in New York.
In the short clip, Liam can be seen with his arm draped round Rita’s shoulder as the couple dance – with some onlookers saying Rita looked like she was “grinding”.
The film also shows the One Direction star appearing to whisper in Rita’s ear as the pair laugh and she holds his arm.
Fan Michael Jacobs, 22, shot the clip as Rita’s pal Bebe Rexha was on stage.
He said: “It was during the song Meant To Be and they were just dancing, and laughing with each other. He was holding on to her and his hand was on her neck.”
Liam, 24, and Rita, 27, have been firm friends since they worked together on Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack For You – and had earlier performed the song in steamy fashion at the bash in Manhattan’s Terminal 5.
Rita and Liam have insisted they are just friends, although another onlooker added: “He certainly seemed to be having a good time.”
The Bedroom Floor singer was last week seen holding hands with model and rumoured girlfriend Cairo Dwek, 20.
Cairo was not spotted at the event, but posted a sizzling selfie of her in a swimsuit.
Cheryl, 35, also posted a selfie looking stunning in a pair of £734 inside-out denim hotpants from Unravel Project, teamed with thigh-high leather boots. She captioned the photograph on Instagram: “Sup...”
The pic had fans raving about her good looks, including bandmate Nicola Roberts, who said, “here she is!” with a fire emoji.
The former Girls Aloud star has been recording her new BBC series, The Greatest Dancer, in which she stars as a judge.
Cheryl said: “I’m so excited to be part of The Greatest Dancer. I’m looking for acts with real passion, who are going to push boundaries and give it their all...”
Liam and Cheryl split in June after two and a half years together, with Liam moving out of the couple’s £5million Surrey mansion. They have a son, Bear, aged one.
