R’s schtick shows Mac’s a glutton for punishment

STEVE McCLAREN has provided so much comedy over the years (think Wally with the Brolly and his stab at inventing a new Anglo/Dutch schtyle of schpeaking) it feels mean to put the boot in as he sits bottom of the Championship with no points. That won’t stop fans.

West Brom’s were brutal as they chanted, during the 7-1 thrashing of McClaren’s QPR on Saturday, that their muchmaligned new combi-heater mascot Boiler Man would get in his team. But the sound of his own chanting, “You don’t know what your doing” as they were beaten 3-0 by Bristol City on Tuesday, in only his second home league game, would have hurt McClaren much more. Why does he keep going back into management for more pain?
