United’s more than fair share
JOSE MOURINHO’S side were embarrassed by Brighton on Sunday – but that did not stop Manchester United’s share price reaching an all-time high the following day.
They were trading at a record $24.20 (£18.75) on the New York Stock Exchange, with the share price at $23.10 dollars (£17.90) by close on Tuesday, meaning the club’s market value is around £3billion.
Nemanja Matic and Antonio Valencia have returned to full training after leaving United’s US tour early last month because of injury and they could face Tottenham on Monday.
