Claret and blue chaos

THE farcical relationship of West Ham and their London Stadium landlords has been revealed.

The owners – Newham Council and the London Legacy Development Corporation – want a blue athletics track cover to go around the football pitch.

But West Ham object to the colour of rivals Spurs – preferring it to be claret.

So the Hammers have offered £380,000 for “a compromise cover”, which would be “West Ham claret and London Stadium blue”.
