Daley son’s top PE mark

Tougher GCSEs no problem as passes hit seven-year high

FOOTSTEPS Alex & dad OLYMPIC champion Daley Thompson’s lad scored the highest GCSE mark in his school for PE.

Alex Clayton hinted at following in his decathlete dad’s footsteps with a sporting career.

The Brighton College pupil, 16, also scored A* in design and technology, 9 in double science and maths, 8 in geography and 6 in English literature and language.

Alex said: “I’m absolutely chuffed.” WE DID IT Excited pupils collect their results at The Mount School, York RESULT Nottingham High School JOY Ark Globe Academy, in South London

Whatever they choose to do next, these qualificat­ions will give them a solid base
