You step in for talented Lucy

ON COURSE Lucy is off to LIPA Thanks to your generosity, Lucy Eccles, from Wigan, will be off to Liverpool Institute of the Performing Arts.

Lucy, a talented dancer who I wrote about a few weeks ago, and her mum, a cleaner, were struggling to afford the place she’d won – until you stepped in.

The crowdfunder raised £4,000 – enough to cover Lucy’s fees.

“I can’t thank everyone enough,” Lucy says. “It proves you don’t have to be of a higher class to go into the performing arts and if you put the effort in and ask for help it can happen.”
