Singer songwriter Lucie, raised in England, based in Nashville, has persevered to find a persuasive comfort zone on this her fourth album. Her husky voice luxuriates in silky surrounds of the Fleetwood Macreferencing Black Jeans and rises to the occasion in the self-reflecting title track.

While the ungainly First Rate Heartbreak soon overstays its welcome, the sad-eyed sunny and soulful Everything Looks Beautiful is a lovely distillation of prime-time Philly soul.
