Knox’s cut out of Cup

-

RUSSELL KNOX has seen any hope of a Ryder Cup wildcard selection end in missing the cut in the lucrative Northern Trust in New Jersey.

Scot Knox continued to struggle on the rainsoftened Ridgewood Country Club course adding a one-over par 72 to his opening score of 73 for a three-over par total.

No such concern for Phil Mickelson and Tony Finau who are seeking USA wildcard picks off captain Jim Furyk next month.

Mickelson added a second straight threeunder par 68 to move to six-under.

Finau birdied two of his closing three holes in a 67 to join Mickelson in a clubhouse share of second place at seven-under par.
