I had baby on bedroom floor

NO BEDS Jade with her children Scott and Evie and partner James JADE Barrett was turned away at Southampton’s Princess Anne Hospital on New Year’s Day 2015 in labour with her second child Evie.

The 30-year-old, from New Milton, said: “We rang the hospital and they told us they had no beds, they were fully booked.

“When they told me they didn’t have any room I thought, ‘My God, I’m going to have her at home’. My partner James was panicking.“

Midwives did not think she would make it to Bournemouth and told her to ring an ambulance instead. Jade ended up giving birth on her son Scott’s bedroom floor at home. It was thankfully quick and complication-free.
