LEWIS GREGORY inspired Somerset to their first T20 Blast Finals Day for six years with a 19-run victory over Notts Outlaws.

The Somerset skipper (right) hit 60 from 24 balls with the bat, took 2-29 with the ball and the catch to dismiss Notts dangerman Alex Hales, which ensured his side filled the last spot alongside Sussex Sharks at Edgbaston on September 15. Gregory’s score helped Somerset to 209-5, with Notts all out for 190 in reply.

Jamie Overton, who took 5-47, said: “Lewis is a good leader and it’s nice to have him in the side.”
