NORTHAMPTON boss Chris Boyd is backing Dylan Hartley to give under-performing Saints a rocket this season.

Kiwi Boyd arrived this month from the Hurricanes in Wellington, where he coached All Black hooker Dane Coles.

Northampton, champions in 2014, only finished ninth last season and Boyd has made hooker Hartley (below) his co-captain. And he expects the England skipper to give Northampton a rocket after five months out. Boyd said: “He is not afraid to hold people to task, Coles is the same.’’
