GERRARD GOING TO WOR NOW
STEVEN GERRARD is pushing Nottingham Forest to land Joe Worrall on loan early this week.
England Under-21 Worrall (above) has slipped to fifth choice centre-half at the City Ground following a £20million summer spending spree.
But Gerrard has described the stopper, 21, as a “fantastic” player after watching him six times last year.
The Rangers boss made personal contact with Forest over the weekend to assure the Championship outfit Worrall will feature regularly in Scotland.
Forest want to recoup cash and striker Ben Brereton, 19, is poised to go to Blackburn on loan ahead of a £6million New Year switch.
