JOE BRYAN has set the record straight about how he came within 15 minutes of signing for Aston Villa before a deadline-day move to Fulham.
Left-back Bryan was central to one of the stories of the final transfer day when Fulham hijacked his proposed Villa move to sign him for £6million.
Bryan, 24, said: “I went to Aston Villa, did the medical, I signed nothing.
“I got a call that Fulham had an offer accepted while I was at Villa and I said ‘I want to play in the Premier League, I can’t turn down this’.”
