TOFFEE ZOUMA STILL SWEET ON BRIDGE

- Everton v Rotherham 7.45pm BY DAVID ANDERSON

KURT ZOUMA aims to seize his chance at Everton to prove he can still make it at Chelsea.

Zouma admits he joined the Toffees on loan because he did not want to sit on the bench under Maurizio Sarri.

But the France defender, who has also had loan spells at Stoke City and SaintEtienne, still believes he can become a regular at Stamford Bridge.

“I have always believed in myself,” said the centre-half, 23, who is set to make his full Everton debut against Rotherham tonight.

“I have always wanted to show myself at Chelsea since I have been there. I know injuries stopped me, but injuries are part of football, and I want to show people I can come back and play there.

“That’s why I need some game time at Everton because they are a good team.”
