Glazers are standing by Mourinho for now.. but he knows Old Trafford fortunes must improve or support will wane
JOSE MOURINHO has the backing of the Glazer family to come through his Manchester United crisis.
United have slumped to 13th in the table after back-to-back defeats, however the manager retains the support of the club’s American owners and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward. But
Mourinho knows further defeats could see a shift in that stance.
He takes his United side to Burnley on Sunday, knowing he must produce a win to bring some respite from the negativity that has engulfed him in his third season in charge. But Woodward and the United hierarchy were encouraged by the impressive first-half display against Tottenham on Monday night.
And although United fell apart after the break he was impressed with the solidarity between Mourinho and the fans following the 3-0 defeat.
