New drug is hope for MS

A NEW drug has shown “significan­t” results in treating multiple sclerosis in human trials.

Ibudilast offers hope to the 100,000 Brits with the brain disease which causes them to lose the use of their limbs.

Cleveland Clinic Neurologic­al Institute found the drug slowed brain shrinkage in 48% in 255 patients, leading to hopes of slowing the disease.

Study author Robert Fox, said: “These findings are significan­t”
