HORNETS ARE BIG SUCCESS

- BY MIKE WALTERS

Reading 0 Watford 2

ISAAC SUCCESS, whose exotic talents have rarely lived up to his surname, broke his 606-day drought as Watford strolled home at the Mad Stad.

At £11.6million, Nigerian forward Success (above) – who spent most of last season on loan at Malaga – was in danger of becoming an abject failure.

But on 37 minutes, Nathaniel Chalobah released Adam Masina down the left flank and his cross was finished in style by 22-year-old Success, who scored for the first time since October 2016.

Seventeen minutes after the break, the Hornets, who’d made 11 changes, were home and dry, as Domingos Quina unleashed a fabulous left-foot drive into the top corner from 30 yards.
