LIONS SAVED BY BIG GUNS

-

Millwall 3 Plymouth 2

MILLWALL boss Neil Harris had to dig deep to prevent his Lions being bundled out.

But subs Lee Gregory and Aiden O’Brien (above) stepped off the bench to do the trick.

Plymouth threatened an upset when Scottish midfielder Jamie Ness tucked in a header four minutes before the interval.

Shaun Williams equalised with a 64th-minute penalty but Freddie Ladapo struck after a solo run to give Argyle the edge.

Gregory made it 2-2 after 83 minutes from a Jiri Skalak cross before O’Brien diverted the ball home – and take Millwall into the third round of the competition for the first time since 2011.
