SAIDO’S TLC CONQUERS DROUGHT

- BY DAVID ANDERSON @MirrorAnderson BY DAVE ARMITAGE

SAIDO BERAHINO says the power of love helped him crack his epic goalless streak. Stoke’s £12million striker (below) ended his two-and-a-half year torture without a goal and says it was TLC that kept him from going crazy. Berahino’s opener in Tuesday’s 2-0 EFL Cup win over Huddersfield was his first in a Stoke shirt since he switched from West Brom. And the 25-year-old (above) thanked the fans, his team-mates and boss Gary Rowett, saying: “It was about time I scored, yeah. “I can feel the love. Since I got back in the team, the fans have been supporting me. The boys came and celebrated with me, so it was fantastic.”
