Nolan sister reveals her self-harming
“She’s a con artist!” bellowed Kim Woodburn, pointing a finger across the Loose Women panel at Coleen Nolan, before storming off set screeching: “I wouldn’t want to sit and talk to lying trash like you!”
LINDA Nolan said she self-harms and does not realise she is doing it.
The ex-Nolans singer, 59, began after the death from cancer of husband Brian Hudson in 2007.
She appeared on ITV’s Loose Women, where sister Coleen is a panellist, after a report found one in four girls of 14 self-harms.
Linda told how she bit her hand or rubbed her skin until she bled.
She said: “I know it sounds dramatic but the pain took away the pain from here,” indicating her heart. “Sometimes I do it and I don’t even know it.”
She was asked by her sister how it made her feel better and she replied: “It’s still pain, but it’s a different kind of pain.”
The segment was optimistically titled “Can Kim and Coleen end their feud?” and the answer was a resounding “No”.
Kim, 76, broke down talking about her difficult childhood, while blasting Coleen, 53, as a “bully”.
Kim, who fell out with Coleen on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017, was invited on to “bury the hatchet”.
The How Clean Is Your House star was introduced by Janet Street Porter, in a judge’s robe and wielding a gavel.
Kim kicked things off, asking: “You wanted me here, what have you got to say?” During their spat Coleen compared Kim to a “demon” and branded her “a horrible, self-centred, publicityseeking witch”.
Before storming off, Kim snapped at Linda Robson calling her “two-faced” and Linda Nolan “phoney”.
Many viewers were concerned for Kim’s welfare. ITV offered her counselling after her appearance, but said she declined. Kim later described the episode as a “circus” and “cruel entertainment”.
Coleen tweeted that the show’s producers had invited Kim on the show not her and called the whole experience “incredibly unpleasant”.
