- BY GARETH WALKER

Warrington v Hull ko 7.45pm

JACK HUGHES is “embarrassed” Warrington are relishing playing again just five days after their Challenge Cup final heartache.

The pre-match favourites froze in the opening stages at Wembley and were chasing the game against Catalans from the second minute of their 20-14 loss.

The fixture list has handed the Wolves a quick turnaround for their crucial Super 8s game at home to Hull FC tonight, as they look to cement a play-off spot. And Hughes said: “Before the game, the short turnaround wasn’t something any of us were looking forward to.

“Given we had a poor result, though, we are buzzing for it now – it can’t come quick enough. We want to get out there and put the wrongs right.

“There’s a lot of frustration built up that we’re ready to unleash.

“We need to prove we are a top team. It is pretty embarrassing having to admit that you weren’t at your best.”
