FIBROMYALGIA is a chronic pain condition with no known cure.
It is thought to be related to abnormal levels of certain chemicals in the brain, which alter the way the central nervous system processes pain messages.
Triggers are thought to be injury or infection, lack of sleep and personal tragedy. It is seven times more common in women.
Other symptoms include extreme fatigue, headaches, trouble sleeping and muscle stiffness.
