BORO PLAN TO PUL OFF SAV SWITCH
MIDDLESBROUGH are ready to push through a £7million beat-the-deadline deal for Millwall midfielder George Saville. But the move will hinge on whether the Lions can bring in a replacement before today’s loan deadline with Sheffield United’s Ryan Leonard top of their wanted list. Millwall signed ex-Chelsea trainee Saville, 25, (left) for just £350,000 a year ago. And Boro want to get a deal done on loan until January, with boss Tony Pulis completing a permanent switch when the transfer window re-opens. Sheffield United are demanding £1m for Leonard and are keen on the Teessiders’ Marvin Johnson to complete the merry-go-round.
