Potters go it a loan for record-fee flop Imbula

STOKE’S record £18.3million buy Giannelli Imbula has been loaned to Rayo Vallecano – with Geoff Cameron set to follow.

Imbula (above) has joined the promoted La Liga side for the season because the French midfielder, who joined in 2016 from Porto, is not in boss Gary Rowett’s plans.

Stoke sent Imbula, 25, to Toulouse last season and have been unable to sell him. Vallecano were keen on Cameron, 33, but the US midfielder is set for a loan to QPR.
