CITY: WE’VE GOT TO DO IT THIS TIME

MANCHESTER CITY are targeting the Champions League after the disappointment of last season.

Dumped out by Liverpool in the quarterfinals, despite dominating the Premier League, director of football Txiki Begiristain says they are determined to do better.

City got a favourable draw in Group F with Shakhtar Donetsk, Lyon and Hoffenheim.

Begiristain (above) said: “We want to be stronger in Europe and we want to be closer than last season.

“We know Shakhtar and we are back against them.

“We had difficulties trying to beat them at home last season, so we have to remind ourselves how difficult it will be.

“Then two very good clubs in Hoffenheim and Lyon – it won’t be easy.”
