BAYERN MUNICH have reached the Champions League semi-finals in seven of the last nine seasons. Bayern Munich’s star striker Robert Lewandowski has failed to score in his last 417 minutes of Champions League action, his longest ever drought in the competition.

MANCHESTER CITY’S Pep Guardiola faced Lyon with Barcelona in the last 16 in 2008-09 on the way to winning the first of his two Champions League titles as a manager. Forty per cent of Champions League winners have come from Group F under the current formula (6 of 15).

REAL MADRID are playing in the Champions League for the 22nd consecutive season, the longest run in the history of the competition. They have always made it out of the group stages. Real have reached the semifinals in each of the last eight campaigns.

JUVENTUS’S Cristiano Ronaldo has scored in both of his previous Champions League appearances against Manchester United for Real Madrid in February and March 2013. Juventus have won the European Cup/Champions League on two occasions (1985 and 1996).
