Court action for Viagogo over tickets

AN industry watchdog has issued court proceedings against the secondary ticketing agent Viagogo.

In November the Competition and Markets Authority ordered GetMeIn, Seatwave, StubHub and Viagogo to overhaul their sites over misleading information about tickets.

Three out of four formally committed to changes but Viagogo failed to do so.

The firm’s practices will be scrutinised in the High Court. The CMA move comes after the Mirror Out the Touts campaign.

Viagogo said “We remain committed to reaching a resolution through the legal process.”
