Wheelie bike hits 127mph

A MOTORBIKE fanatic has smashed the world wheelie record by 21.2mph.

Tony Robinson, 51, reached 127.2mph over 1km on his 1000cc bike.

He was competing at the Wheelie World Championships at Elvington airfield, North Yorks.

Tony, from Telford, Shrops, said: “It’s absolutely great to get this record and I’m pleased with how it went.”

Next year he will attempt to beat the record for 600cc bikes.
