MCILROY TRIBUTE

SEAN DYCHE says Jose Mourinho is right, he does deserve more respect.

Mourinho demanded respect after Manchester United’s chastening 3-0 home defeat by Tottenham on Monday.

And the Burnley boss says the critics are quick to forget the Special One’s record of success.

Dyche (above, with his United counterpar­t) said: “My respect for people like Jose is because I’m a young manager, learning the game, and these people have done enormous things in the game.

“In this game you get questioned for what you’re doing now.

“People forget your history and what you’ve FANS lined the streets of Burnley yesterday to pay their last respects to club favourite Jimmy McIlroy.

McIlroy, a key figure in the side which won the 1960 First Division title and reached the European Cup quarter-finals the following season, died at the age of 86.

The Northern Ireland midfielder made 497 appearance­s for the club and scored 131 goals during his 13 years at Turf Moor.
