FRANKIE WARNING

- BY NEWSBOY BY DAVID YATES

ARTHUR KITT is the value bet at 8-1 against favourite Too Darn Hot in the Group 3 188Bet Solario Stakes (3.35, ITV4) at Sandown today.

The market leader is well related and created a big impression when landing a maiden over a mile here on his debut last month.

But Tom Dascombe (right) trainee Arthur Kitt is also regally bred – his sire Camelot won the 2,000 Guineas and Derby in 2012, while his dam Ceiling Kitty landed Royal Ascot’s Queen Mary the very same summer.

And Richard Kingscote’s mount is living up to his bloodline, coming into this afternoon’s test unbeaten in two outings. Arthur Kitt began his career in a novice event at Haydock in May, scoring in style by two and a half lengths. And, like his mother, the bay put a Royal Ascot triumph on his CV with a neck margin over Nate The Great in the Listed Chesham Stakes the following month. There is further improvement to come from Arthur Kitt, who can step up in class to remain unbeaten.

SANDOWN: PAGE 4 FRANKIE DETTORI last night warned victory is “not a given” for superstar filly Enable when she makes her long-awaited return to action next Saturday.

The John Gosden-trained daughter of Nathaniel has not been out since routing her rivals in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Chantilly last autumn.

Enable, a 5-1 shot with Paddy Power for the Arc, is sure to be a warm order when she reappears in the Group 3 September Stakes at Kempton.

But Dettori (right) said: “People shouldn’t take it for granted that she will come back and win — it’s not a given after she’s had such a long time off the track.

“She hasn’t been out this season, so you could say that she’s the missing piece of the jigsaw, but she’s been working well and I can’t wait to see her back on a racecourse.”
