FAMOUS FIVE
THE UK is still in deep confusion as to what will happen if there is a no-deal Brexit and why Adele hasn’t yet written a song about our break up with the EU.
Punters are becoming increasingly concerned we will crash out of the EU without a deal because the government have only had a couple of years to come up with a plan.
A no-deal Brexit could have a huge impact on Irish trainers and Irish horses, which of course is worrying but considerably way down the list of disastrous things that could happen.
A separation from the EU could signal the end of the Tripartite Agreement system, a deal presumably ratified in Tipperary, between the UK, France and Ireland.
The timing of the break up would come a month before the Grand National in 2019, which would pose a threat to potential Irish horses’ participation in the race.
Apparently the BHA are already working on possible solutions.
This is something that provides zero peace of mind.
