BBC radio’s Rachael ‘has days to live’
BBC host Rachael Bland says she has only days to live due to breast cancer.
The Radio 5 Live newsreader, 40, posted a heartbreaking farewell on Twitter yesterday.
Rachael, who has a two-year-old son, Freddie, was diagnosed in 2016.
She wrote: “In the words of the legendary Frank S – I’m afraid the time has come my friends.
“And suddenly. I’m told I’ve only got days. Thank you so much for all the support I’ve received.”
She said You, Me and the Big C, a podcast about cancer she co-hosted, would continue, adding: “Au revoir my friends.”
Radio 5 colleague Richard Bacon said: “Your podcast has helped change the way people talk about all this. You’re wonderful.”
